Ontario Kobras Baseball Joins the Future Stars Series – A New Era for Canadian Baseball

The Kobras are stepping onto a bigger stage. We are thrilled to announce that Ontario Kobras Baseball will officially be competing in the prestigious Future Stars Series (FSS) — a move that will open new doors for our players and help push Canadian baseball to the next level.

The Future Stars Series has earned its reputation in the United States as one of the most competitive and respected development platforms in the game. It’s where the country’s top amateur talent battles head-to-head, where scouts and college recruiters lock in on the next generation, and where careers take off. Now, that opportunity is crossing the border — and the Kobras are leading the charge.

Why This Matters for Canadian Baseball

Canadian players are already proving they belong on the biggest stages, but until now, they’ve had fewer opportunities to showcase their abilities against top-tier, cross-border competition on a consistent basis. Joining the FSS means our athletes will:

  • Face elite-level competition week in and week out.
  • Gain national and international exposure to scouts, recruiters, and college coaches.
  • Access the same developmental tools as the top programs in the United States.

This isn’t just good for the Kobras — it’s good for Canadian baseball. Every inning we play in the Future Stars Series raises the bar for training, performance, and opportunity north of the border.

The Future Stars Series has been a launchpad for countless athletes who’ve gone on to play NCAA Division I baseball, sign with top college programs, and hear their names called in the MLB Draft. Its commitment to player development and exposure has made it one of the most trusted names in amateur baseball.

By joining the league, our players step into the same system that has propelled hundreds of players to professional contracts and given thousands the tools and visibility to continue their careers at the next level.

If we were going to do this, we were always going to do this right,” Booth said. “To be able to bring the league concept, but without any league fees whatsoever and still be able to provide what what’s been proven to be the industry’s best in scouting, social media and data capture is significant. This isn’t for everyone. A lot of what we do isn’t. But, this is just the beginning here, and we’re excited to be partnered with programs here that we know will be able to lead us as we roll this out all over the continent moving forward.

In-Game Data with TrackMan Technology

At every FSS game, TrackMan devices will be in play — collecting precise, in-game data on pitching, hitting, and defensive performance. This is the same advanced tracking technology used in MLB stadiums, delivering metrics like pitch velocity, spin rate, exit velocity, launch angle, and more.

That means every pitch, every swing, every play is measured, giving our athletes real, actionable data to fuel their development — and giving scouts a complete picture of a player’s skill set in live-game situations.

The Future Starts Now

This is more than just joining a league — it’s joining a movement. The Kobras are ready to compete, ready to represent Canadian baseball, and ready to seize the opportunities the Future Stars Series provides.

Bigger competition. More exposure. Better development.

The Future Stars Series has changed the game in the United States — now it’s Canada’s turn. And the Kobras are leading the way.
